Rahoul Daswani is filmmaker born and raised in the city of Mumbai. He did his bachelors in History and Political Science from Jai Hind College, Mumbai. In 2007, he began his career without a film school degree in the city's thriving film industry. Doing odd jobs on Commercials and TV shows. With a knack for story telling, In 2010, he made his first short film The Four Wheeler (2010), which bagged him a job at one of India's top production houses Vinod Chopra Films. There, he directed the behind-the-scenes episodes of Rajesh Mapuskar's Ferrari Ki Sawaari (2012) and Rajkumar Hirani's PK (2014). Both being commercially successful.
It was only a matter of time when he was introduced to India Take One Productions, producers of International projects in India. Rahoul joined their production team and grew really fast. Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (2011), Life of Pi (2012), The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2015), LION (2016), Silicon Valley (2016), Hotel Mumbai (2018) and Love Sonia (2018) are just a few to his credit.
In Nov 2016, he traveled alongside little star Sunny Pawar, as a mentor and interpreter, for the press tour of the Oscar nominated film LION (2016). The tour included screenings in New York and Los Angeles, along with interactive Q & A’s and TV Shows. On Jan 16th 2017, Rahoul, Sunny and his father Dilip, were invited to The White House in Washington DC to meet President Obama, who loved the movie. In the pipeline is his next short film, To Remember Me By; and a feature length screenplay is on the anvil.
